Operations Specialist - Barcelona

Your Mission
We are looking for an Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Barcelona.
This is a hands-on operational role where you will manage urgent shipments from booking to final delivery. You will work closely with airlines, couriers, airport agents, and international clients to ensure every shipment moves smoothly.
This role requires ownership, operational discipline, and real-time decision making.
You will not simply follow instructions, you will take control of shipments and ensure the job gets done.
Your Profile
★ Minimum 3 years of experience in time-critical logistics such as OBC, NFO, AOG, charter operations, or urgent air freight.
★ Experience in freight forwarding operations or specialized time critical logistics companies.
★ Strong operational mindset with experience coordinating international air shipments.
★ Ability to remain structured, calm, and solution-oriented under pressure.
★ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
★ Fluent in English and Spanish.
★ Catalan is a strong advantage.
★ Additional languages such as German or French are a plus.
Candidates with direct experience coordinating Next Flight Out (NFO), On Board Courier (OBC) & Air Charters shipments will be strongly prioritized.
What You'll Be Responsible For
End-to-End Execution
★ Manage OBC, NFO, and express shipments globally from booking to delivery.
★ Coordinate couriers, airlines, airport handling agents, and final recipients.
★ Ensure that every operational milestone is confirmed and controlled.
Real-Time Operational Control
★ Monitor flights and routing proactively.
★ Identify risks early and activate contingency plans when needed.
★ Solve problems quickly and escalate when necessary.
Global Coordination
★ Communicate directly with airlines, handling agents, partners, and clients worldwide.
★ Ensure accurate documentation and customs compliance.
★ Maintain clear and structured updates during time-critical operations.
Operational Excellence
★ Contribute ideas to improve operational workflows.
★ Support the team during high-volume operations.
★ Help maintain high standards as the company continues to grow.
