Business Controller Global Commercial Operations
The Global Business Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of financial tracking and support for assigned commercial subsidiaries. This includes participating in decision-making processes, providing financial expertise to guide business decisions at both local and global levels.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Business Finance Partnering: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making at both local and global levels. Ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting for local subsidiaries.
* Financial Closing and Finance Reporting: Monitor P&L of countries in scope, analyze variances, anticipate monthly closures, and support local financial teams in their closing processes.
* Short & Long Term Planning: Manage financial planning processes (Budget, Forecast, Last Estimate, 5 Year Forecast), ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.
* Support & Business Understanding: Achieve an advanced understanding of local businesses for assigned Market Companies and produce proposals to help local teams meet their budgets.
* Valuations and Business Cases: Assist in financial modeling and valuation of new projects and investments, ensuring alignment with company's strategic goals.
* Corporate Projects and Ad-hoc analysis: Lead or participate in cross-functional corporate projects, providing financial insights and support to local teams and/or various global departments.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Additonal training (MBA or postgraduate degree) is a plus.
Specific knowledge
* Advanced user of Power BI and office software, desirable knowledge of Hyperion Smartview and SAP.
* Proactive, analytical, critical, methodical, and organized individual.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders.
* High proficiency in English.
Experience
* 4+ years of experience as a Business Controller (Global or Local) and/or in Big Four auditing.
* Desirable experience in the Pharma/Healthcare sector.
* Proficient in issuance and analysis of economic-financial reporting.
* Familiarity with preparation of Business Plans, financial models, and project valuations.
