Sea-Freight Import Operator
Job Scope
As our new Import Sea-Freight Operator, you will be part of our Spanish Operative Team located in Valencia, directly reporting into the local Operations Manager.
You will manage ocean freight import operations, overseeing the entire process from planning to full execution of the shipment cycle and providing exceptional and pro-active support through liaising with customers, shippers, network, and overseas partners, always respecting the deadlines.
On a daily basis, you will look after all the documentation needed in order to meet all the shipping line operations, ensuring compliance with procedures and international regulations.
You will have in dept knowledge of the documentations, invoicing, warehousing instructions, customers and suppliers contacts, being able to quickly recognize potential issues to report and escalate to the Sea Freight Supervisor on the daily operations. xohynlm

Job responsibilities
* Management of sea import shipments, from planning to completion of the operational cycle, arranging the shipment according to specific customer requirements
* Preparation and handling of all required documentation
* Monitoring shipments, ensuring that timelines and costs are met and keeping clients updated on progress/any delays
* Providing customers with constant updates on shipment status
* Proactively resolving any operational issues
* Data entry and system updates within company platforms
Skills
* 3+ years of work experience in an international freight forwarding company
* Knowledge of import operational procedures and customs documentation
* Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and result orientation
* Ability to work effectively in a team, with an organized and solution-oriented approach
* Excellent team player, with natural drive and energy
* Able to prioritize and manage workloads, dealing with strict priorities and deadlines
* High class customer service and communication skills, able to handle potential difficult disputes
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and colleagues
* Fluency both in Spanish and English
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Products and IT tools in general
* Experience in CargoWise is preferred
