**Job overview**:
Xabia International College is looking to appoint an exceptional, inspiring and dedicated professional to the position of KS3-KS4 physics and mathematics teacher to join our team immediately on a permanent basis.
**Key Tasks**
- To be responsible for the teaching of the agreed schemes of work, as required by the appropriate Head of Department;
- To collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work;
- To take part in INSET programmes;
- To take a role as form tutor when necessary, and to undertake the tasks assigned to that duty or such equivalent tasks as may be required;
- To maintain records of the progress, class attendance and achievement of assigned pupils and students;
- To ensure that all work assigned to pupils is marked within a reasonable timeframe, providing the appropriate feedback on how to improve;
- To inform the Head of Secondary of matters concerning potential under-achievement and other difficulties, as well as instances of outstanding achievement and effort;
- To maintain good order and an attractive environment in the teaching spaces used and to report any problems with buildings and fittings;
- To provide reports on individual pupils and students as required;
- To provide clear and sensitive feedback to pupils and their parents of their progress in Parents’ Meetings;
- To attend the meetings convened by the Head of Secondary;
- To attend meetings and staff briefings convened by the Head of Secondary;
- To be fully committed to the Appraisal programme;
- To participate in meetings with colleagues and parents relative to the above duties;
- To take an equitable part in the supervision and cover system of the school;
- To undertake management and administrative functions as required by the Head of Department after consultation;
