We're working with a growing FinTech organisation building a modern, scalable financial platform.They're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers within a key product domain, helping shape technical direction while ensuring high-quality delivery.This role combines technical leadership, team development, and delivery ownership, with a strong focus on building reliable, scalable systems that meet real customer needs.What You'll Be DoingTechnical LeadershipOwn a product domain and define the short- to mid-term technical roadmapPartner with senior engineers to ensure consistent architecture and design decisionsTake ownership of system reliability, availability, and securityEnsure systems are well-supported with clear SLAs, documentation, and on-call processesDelivery & ExecutionLead team delivery, including planning, prioritisation, and sprint executionBalance roadmap commitments with unplanned work and operational demandsMaintain a strong focus on quality, velocity, and sustainable deliveryEnsure ownership and resolution of incidents and production issuesCollaborationWork closely with product counterparts to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomesAct as the key link between engineering and productCommunicate progress clearly and escalate risks when neededPeople LeadershipManage and support a team of engineers across different levelsCreate a stable, high-performing team environmentDrive performance through regular feedback, coaching, and development plansSupport hiring, onboarding, and retention of strong talentFoster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous feedbackProcess & PerformanceEnsure effective execution of engineering processes and best practicesTrack and improve key team metrics (e.G. delivery, quality, team health)Balance delivery outcomes with team well-being and long-term sustainabilityManage small budgets where needed (tools, team initiatives)What They're Looking For &##129504;
