Job Description
You will be responsible for carrying out:
- Coordination of tyre testing activities in proving ground and laboratory to generate data required for virtual tyre models fitting
- Tyre test data postprocessing
- Laboratory testing equipment development and maintenance
- Support objective full vehicle testing team
The main technical responsibilities of this role will be:
- Idi ada Vehicle Dynamics tyre testing equipment coordinator
- Work side by side with test technicians for test set up in our workshops
- Guarantee the quality of the tyre test data to be used for tyre model generation
- Coordinate the tyre characterization projects
- Supervise the development and maintenance of the Idiada tyre test equipment
- Supervise and validate tyre testing project deliverables
The main project management and commercial responsibilities of this role will be:
- Technical tyre testing project definition
- Management of project testing samples and logistics
- Presentation of project proposals and project results to customers
- Management of client communication and reporting
Qualifications
Profile
- 1-3 year of experience in automotive chassis development with a focus on tyre testing
- Advanced Data post-processing skills
- Good understanding of tyre testing process
- Good knowledge of vehicle dynamics and tyre model theory
- Basic knowledge of programming with Matlab and/or Python
- Detail-oriented and organised personality
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Hard-working and adaptable mindset
Considered as a plus :
- Understanding of measurement equipment and communication protocols (CAN, Analogue, Ethernet)
- Knowledge of electronics and components
- Warehouse material management
- Understanding of tyre models for chassis simulation (MF-Tyre, F-Tire, CD-Tire)
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanics, Automotive or similar.
Languages
Fluent in English and Spanish.
