This is not a sales role but an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to organizations ranging from start-ups to large enterprises in both the commercial and public sectors.
The Role
As a COA,
you will help craft and execute strategies to promote the adoption and effective use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IoT, and others. Your technical expertise and customer-facing skills will enable you to represent AWS effectively within customer environments and lead discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, proactively maintaining your customers’ AWS environments. Developing close relationships will allow you to understand their business, operational needs, and technical challenges, helping them maximize AWS benefits. This role may require travel of 10% or more as needed.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) focus on driving revenue, adoption, and growth across small, mid-market, and large enterprise accounts, including the public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes world-class support is critical to customer success.
Key job responsibilities
You’ll advise on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for customers:
* Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing costs and complexity.
* Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
* Use your technical acumen and customer obsession to drive discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
* Consult with a range of partners, from developers to C-suite executives.
* Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
* Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
* Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly and quarterly metrics, and pre-launch planning.
* Solve diverse problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloud.
