Job Description
This position is responsible for managing Pipe Coatings customers in Europe and North Africa, primarily dealing with powder and liquid coatings. The segment includes pipe mills, pipe coaters, valve and fittings manufacturers, and field joint coaters. It involves both technical and sales responsibilities.
The role reports to the Segment Director, EMEAI, and can be based remotely within Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the main contact for Sherwin-Williams' relationships with specified customers in the EU.
* Analyze market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials to screen potential business deals.
* Negotiate and close new business deals, develop contracts, and coordinate with business operations.
* Maintain confidentiality to protect the organization's value.
* Enhance professional knowledge through education, publications, networking, and participation in organizations.
* Develop and implement account plans with targeted strategies for each sub-segment.
* Address customer questions and concerns, understand product lines and applications, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly, including sales and lab reports.
* Collect and report market intelligence.
* Participate in industry events and network effectively.
* Manage profit and loss for assigned accounts.
Technical Service & End User Support
* Participate in product trials and project startups to provide technical support, ensuring coating system performance and process efficiencies.
* Position Sherwin-Williams' strengths effectively by understanding customer needs, market trends, and product benefits.
* Support R&D by prioritizing product development aligned with market and customer needs.
* Attend technical meetings, support approvals, and follow up until products are specified, focusing on end-user relationships.
* Coordinate with internal teams to support product development and regional production activities.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in Material or Chemical Engineering preferred.
* Fluent in English and additional languages.
* Willingness to travel within the EMEAI region.
* Excellent communication and technical skills.
* Over 10 years of industry experience in pipe coatings.
