Plant General ManagerLocation: Vigo Region, SpainIndustrial Group – Automotive ActivityAn international industrial group is looking for a Plant General Manager to lead one of its Automotive manufacturing sites located in the Vigo region, Spain .The site is a mid-sized industrial operation supplying major automotive customers and combining plastic component manufacturing and advanced assembly operations. The plant is entering a new phase of industrial development, operational performance and talent growth .Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Group's industrial leadership for the automotive activity, the Plant General Manager will ensure the overall performance and long-term development of the site, including:Safety, quality, delivery performance and cost managementLeadership and development of the plant management teamDeployment of operational excellence and Lean manufacturing initiativesContinuous improvement of industrial performance and customer satisfactionSupport of new program launches and industrial ramp-upsDevelopment of talent and leadership capabilities within the organizationIndustrial EnvironmentThe plant operates in a manufacturing environment combining plastic processing technologies and advanced assembly operations, including:Assembly, Welding, Decoration & ControlAssembly: Semi-automatic and robotic assembly lines with advanced automationWelding technologies:Hot plate weldingUltrasonic weldingInduction weldingDecoration processes:Paint and chrome finishingInterior and exterior automotive componentsProcesses adapted to new environmental and sustainability requirementsExperience in similar industrial environments would be a strong advantage.ProfileWe are looking for a senior industrial leader with a strong background in automotive manufacturing and at least 8–10 years of experience in plant management, production management or leadership of autonomous production units.Experience managing mid-sized industrial organizations (200–300 employees) or significant production operations is expected.Knowledge or exposure to plastic processing technologies such as injection molding, blow molding, plastic welding, decoration and automated assembly operations would be highly valuedLeadership StyleThe successful candidate will combine:Strong leadership and team engagementOwnership and accountabilityAbility to build a clear industrial vision and mobilize teamsStrong operational discipline and KPI-driven managementA solid business and financial understanding to support profitable growthOpportunityThis position offers the opportunity to lead a well-established industrial site within an international group, with strong autonomy, strategic visibility and attractive compensation conditions.
