We’re seeking a Team Lead for our Delivery Center. In this role you will be responsible for shift operations at our DCs and support the DC manager in performance management and driving the operational plan.
Key job responsibilities
* Defining, building and executing the delivery process from delivery station to customer address
* Ensuring enough bandwidth in the territorial delivery team to manage peak‑time delivery
* Engaging closely with the delivery team including associates, developing and maintaining a highly motivated and performance‑driven team
* Continuously improving the delivery process and attaining a sustained level of delivery performance through process and training improvements; initiating improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work
* Analyzing data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance
* Implementing formal process control and improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen
Essential Skills
* Strong leadership capabilities and people‑management skills; ability to work under pressure situations
* Ability to work in ambiguous situations
* Good communication skills; ability to communicate and explain to individuals and the team what needs to be achieved for the Delivery Center/Amazon to achieve its objectives; listening skills and ability to gain input and commitment from all involved in delivering their specific part
* Strong bias for great customer service; engaging the team in developing their understanding of customer experience and knowledge of what customers actually need and expect
* High ownership; following through to ensure the delivery of changes, solutions, and services that fulfill the customer’s needs
* Analytical skills; effectively analyzing and interpreting information, identifying and validating key facts, and reviewing alternatives to determine advantages and associated risks
Basic Qualifications
* 1+ years of customer‑facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
* Speak, write, and read fluently in English
* Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
* Experience with Excel
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree
