A rapidly growing AI infrastructure provider is seeking an experienced Datacentre Operations Engineering Lead to take ownership of a flagship European deployment supporting next-generation AI and HPC workloads.
This is an opportunity to join a business operating at the forefront of GPU infrastructure, high-performance computing and large-scale datacentre operations. You will play a key role in the commissioning, operational readiness and ongoing management of a state-of-the-art compute environment while helping establish the operational standards that will support future growth across the region.
The Opportunity
As Datacentre Operations Engineering Lead, you will act as the senior technical authority on site, providing hands-on leadership across operations, deployment activities, incident management, vendor engagement and service delivery.
You will lead from the front, ensuring the highest operational standards are maintained while supporting a team of engineers responsible for delivering world-class infrastructure services.
This role combines technical depth, operational ownership and leadership responsibility within a highly visible and business-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day datacentre operations and service delivery
- Support commissioning and operational readiness activities for new infrastructure deployments
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Manage critical incidents and drive rapid issue resolution
- Establish and maintain operational procedures, standards and runbooks
- Manage vendor relationships, support contracts and escalation processes
- Drive capacity planning across power, cooling and space requirements
- Work closely with infrastructure, networking and platform engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with operational, security and governance requirements
