Senior SAP ABAP Developer

To drive and strengthen the digital transformation of Airbus Defence and Space, we are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer for our national ERP systems. You will be part of our international team, which includes developers with diverse technical expertise at various locations, including Spain, Germany, the UK, and India.

Your tasks and responsibilities
* Development, testing and maintenance of ABAP code
* Writing technical documentation
* Close cooperation with business key users and SAP service or cluster owners
* Apply and further develop SAP best practices and Golden Rules as well as Airbus development standards
* Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and quality and performance improvements.
* Proactive collaboration with international/multifunctional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle in the ERP Competence & Delivery Center
* Working in an integrated, multidisciplinary and often highly virtual team according to strict schedules
* Collaboration on S/4 strategies for the future SAP landscape in the national ERP area
* Guidance and support of the department's junior developers together with the management team
* Act as a deputy during the manager’s absence
* Ensure that development guidelines are correctly implemented within the change management process
Desired skills and qualifications
* 8 years of practical experience in ABAP programming (experience in S/4 HANA desirable)
* Strong communication skills, both in Spanish and English, are a must
* Didactic skills and the willingness to guide and coach new colleagues and external employees
* Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and team spirit
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to complete agreed tasks within specified timeframes
* Good knowledge of Adobe Forms programming is required
* Experience with module pool programming, DDIC, ALV, function modules, RFC, BAPI, object-oriented programming (OO), user exit, BAdI, enhancement framework, switch framework, IDOC (EDI&ALE), web services, OData
* Desirable experience in one of the following SAP modules:
Fi-CO, CS, PM, PS, SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM.
* Certifications in the SAP area are an advantage
