For our office in adesso Spain, we are looking for a skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer. The role is through adesso, a European consulting company, and part of a growing Data & AI practice collaborating across Belgium, Netherlands, and Spain.
The focus will be on building data platforms and analytics solutions for procurement (spend, suppliers, cost optimization) using Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build data platforms in Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, medallion architecture)
Develop data pipelines (Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks)
Ingest and transform data from multiple sources (APIs, ERP, SaaS)
Model data for analytics (star schema, Power BI datasets)
Deliver insights for:
Spend analytics
Supplier performance
Cost optimization
Implement governance (RBAC, lineage, data quality)
Collaborate with Data & AI teams in an international setup
Support CI/CD, monitoring, and optimization
Requirements
Experience with Microsoft Fabric OR strong Azure + Power BI background
Strong SQL + Python (PySpark is a plus)
Experience in data modeling and data warehousing
Familiarity with Azure tools (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake)
Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub)
Nice to Have
Experience in procurement / supply chain / finance data
Consulting background
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Ability to translate business needs into data solutions
Comfortable in international teams
Languages
