As we strengthen our end-to-end supply chain, we are seeking a forward-thinking, transformation-driven Network Optimisation Manager to join our Supply Chain Center of Excellence (CoE). This high-impact role will shape the future of ADM’s global manufacturing and warehousing networks through analytics, strategic design, and data-driven decision-making. This role can be based in Valencia, or Heidelburg, Germany.
As the Network Optimisation Manager, you will lead the evaluation, design, and optimisation of ADM’s manufacturing and warehousing networks. You’ll develop long‑term asset master plans, model future scenarios, and identify value‑generating opportunities aligned with our multi‑year Global Supply Chain strategy. This cross‑functional role requires strong analytical capability, systems thinking, modelling expertise (including Llamasoft), and the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies that improve service, cost, and scalability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Network Design & Optimisation
Evaluate manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and service networks for cost‑efficiency, performance, and scalability.
Identify strategic opportunities for consolidation, routing efficiencies, infrastructure investment, or service level improvements.
Use advanced modelling and simulation platforms (e.g., Llamasoft) to create data‑driven scenarios and guide strategic decisions.
Perform cost‑benefit analyses and trade‑off evaluations to support long‑term planning.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Collaborate with business units to understand pain points, gather operational requirements, and implement cross‑business solutions.
Translate analytical findings into clear, model‑based recommendations for senior and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Asset Master Planning
Coordinate long‑term master plans for manufacturing and warehousing assets.
Integrate future demand forecasts, capacity needs, and infrastructure investment requirements.
Partner with IT and data teams to enhance or deploy tools that improve network visibility, automation, and optimisation capability.
Performance Management
Define, track, and report on key KPIs related to network efficiency, responsiveness, and service levels.
Support change management activities to ensure the successful adoption of new systems, models, and processes.
Drive engagement, resolve challenges, and support cross‑business alignment during transitions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in network optimisation, operations strategy, supply chain analytics, or a similar field.
Demonstrated success improving network performance across multiple business models or geographies.
Strong analytical and modelling skills with proficiency in tools such as Llamasoft, AnyLogic, SQL, Python, Excel, or GIS platforms.
Experience conducting scenario modelling and cost‑benefit analysis.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and present insights to senior stakeholders.
Strong project management capabilities with experience leading cross‑functional initiatives.
