They are looking to hire a senior procurement manager to lead one of their most complex category areas in their directs function. This team is at the forefront of innovation for procurement and my client is looking for a highly strategic procurement leader to drive delivery and supply chain collaboration.
What Makes This Role Unique
This position offers the rare opportunity to manage a portfolio that spans from high-volume products to sophisticated custom-engineered systems. You'll oversee both in-house manufacturing supply chains and third-party procurement across multiple European locations.
You’ll be responsible for equipment (€250M spend) that serves as the delivery mechanism for the company’s core products across diverse industries including healthcare, hospitality, food service, and industrial applications. This equipment ranges from basic dispensing systems to complex technological solutions that incorporate advanced sensors, precision dosing capabilities and specialized application methods.
Your Impact
As Senior Manager, you’ll lead a team of 10 professionals across Spain, UK, Germany, and France, driving:
CAPEX spend for both internal production and 3PM partners – helping with new production lines for packaging and equipment
Strategic "make vs. buy" decisions that balance the internal manufacturing capabilities against external sourcing options
Development of new equipment that functions as the "vehicle" for core product sales into various markets
Transformation of traditional procurement practices into a more service-oriented approach
Innovation in equipment design that creates new profit centres for the business
Standardization of integral equipment categories including mechanical components, electronics, and control systems
What You'll Bring
Experience in CAPEX (is a must), engineering procurement, 3PM or technical indirect categories
In depth technical procurement experience, ideally with an engineering background
Proven ability to manage complex international teams
Ideally a background in food and beverages, automotive, chemicals or FMCG
Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost optimization with revenue generation
Experience in manufacturing environments, ideally with exposure to external manufacturing or R&D; prototyping
