Role Overview: A Delivery Area Manager leads a team of shift managers and associates at the delivery station, managing daily operations, conducting meetings, training sessions, assigning duties, and communicating with stakeholders including management and functional teams. The role involves managing site operations, support functions, and external stakeholders.
Job Specifics:
* This position is fully onsite with flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and overtime during peak seasons.
* Location: Puebla.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the delivery station focused on Amazon order deliveries.
* Lead Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers, managing meetings, training, duties, and communication.
* Ensure a safe work environment, proper training, and address team needs.
* Implement change swiftly, fostering innovation.
* Route shipments within Amazon Logistics coverage area.
* Support and delegate tasks to team members.
* Adapt to operational changes and growth.
* Monitor sorting operations and driver dispatch.
* Review forecasts and set productivity goals.
* Support safety programs to maintain a safe workplace.
* Lead process improvements using Lean methodologies.
A Day in the Life:
You will manage shifts, focus on safety, quality, and performance standards, oversee process improvements, and mentor new managers. Your day will encompass routine management, operational tasks, and contingency planning.
About the Team:
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) manages last-mile delivery through partnerships and innovative solutions like Amazon Flex, aiming to enhance customer experience and reduce environmental impact with initiatives like electric vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree completed
* Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
* English Fluency (C1+)
* 5+ years of general experience
* 4+ years in people management
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing
* 3+ years in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
* MBA or related degree
* Previous experience in last-mile logistics
