Job DescriptionThe Plant SSAL is responsible for Layer 0 to Layer 3 automation systems and accountable for Layer 0 to Layer 2 based automation systems, maintaining a constant high level of security against cyber‐security threats. The role covers existing and newly deployed systems as part of capital projects, including regular and long‐term activities to migrate systems into a target setup. The Plant SSAL actively supports NIST‐driven deployments, new line or equipment deployments within the plant, and the IOT and Industry 4.0 implementation strategy at a plant level.
Responsibilities
Accountable for maintaining and improving the cybersecurity robustness state at the plant/cluster following MINT and automation standards.
Responsible for driving cultural change within the plant operating team to embrace cyber‐security policy and standards applied to control equipment and monitoring compliance.
Active participation in global and regional automation and systems development and security communications.
Responsible for tracking and maintaining digital asset inventory information over the lifecycle.
Responsible for patch deployment for layer 0 to 2 in coordination with the vulnerability team (quarterly).
Own the plant OT automation roadmap considering installed base and new installations, applying state‐of‐the‐art standards.
Coordinate and ensure business continuity (production) during routine maintenance, upgrades, and extensions at a plant level.
Escalate issues to cluster SSAL for routine work and corporate standard evolution.
Report status, issues, and plans to the plant management team and integrate plant business needs into the technology roadmap.
Qualifications and Skills
General: Good analytical thinking, communication, negotiation skills, project management, teamwork, and organizational agility.
Technical: Sound engineering background, logical and result‐oriented approach, and ability to lead change with self‐motivation and innovation.
Proven knowledge in Rockwell and Siemens automation.
Minimum 4 years of hands‐on experience as a lead automation engineer in industrial automation and control systems in the manufacturing sector with high‐speed process and packing lines.
Minimum 2 years of relevant OT security experience covering domains such as network, endpoint, application, encryption, firewall, user access, and remote access.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Team management abilities.
Expertise in IOT/Industry 4.0 and cyber‐security technologies.
Proven analytical skills for problem solving, including crisis situations, with priority setting in high‐pressure environments.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in automation or related fields (master's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience).
