At Meltio, we are looking for a Field Sales & Technical Enablement Engineer – Asia Pacific to join our growing team!
We are a young, yet rapidly growing company, aiming to take metal 3D printing to the next level by developing high-performance, affordable, and easy-to-use metal 3D printing solutions.
What are we looking for?
The Field Sales & Technical Enablement Engineer – Asia Pacific role is critical to the success of Meltio’s expansion across the APAC region. We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with commercial drive and customer-focused thinking.
This position will lead business development efforts across Asia Pacific while supporting channel partners, strategic customers, and high-priority installations. The role also plays a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction, technical enablement, and successful deployment of Meltio solutions throughout the region.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, autonomous, and highly motivated to work independently across multiple countries and time zones while collaborating closely with Meltio’s teams in Spain.
Main responsibilities:
- Drive new customer acquisition across assigned territories
- Conduct in-person product demonstrations and presentations
- Perform application discovery to qualify leads and align Meltio solutions with customer needs
- Support channel management activities and sales pipeline development
- Represent Meltio at trade shows and industry events across Asia Pacific
- Grow existing accounts through upselling additional units, materials, and service contracts
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for channel partner service teams
- Ensure installations are completed according to Meltio standards
- Support customer success initiatives and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Validate and certify partner technical competency for Meltio systems
- Provide hands-on support for key installations and commissioning activities
- Serve as first-line escalation support for technical issues at strategic accounts
- Share customer and market feedback with Meltio’s engineering and product teams
You will be a fit if you are/have:
- Proven experience in B2B technical sales or applications engineering
- Experience selling or supporting industrial machinery or capital equipment
- Strong customer-centric mindset and commercial awareness
- Ability to work independently across multiple countries and cultures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English (additional Asian languages are a strong advantage)
- Availability to travel extensively across the region and regularly to Spain
- Engineering background in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechatronics, or similar fields
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing, CNC, laser systems, welding technology, or advanced materials
- Experience working with distributors, resellers, or systems integrator channels
- Experience delivering technical training or certification programs
This role requires a minimum of 2 months onboarding at Meltio headquarters in Linares, Spain before deployment to Asia Pacific. The onboarding includes deep product training, hands-on repair work, printing operations, and integration with Meltio’s core teams.
