This position will serve as the regular contact person between our clients (internal and external) and our translation teams.The Project Manager is responsible for communicating specific detailed instructions to translation teams and managing workflows and processes. They are accountable for the final quality assurance of translation and real-time, accurate recording of activities.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**- Take ownership of the projects assigned and build close relationships with clients to provide excellent client service- Analyze project scope, documents and create project analysis in order to send quotes to clients- Identify workflow, create planning and define relevant turnaround times- Analyze assigned projects and assess the need for additional information, e.G. compilation of glossaries, reference material, list of acronyms, technical terminology, and translation memories, etc.- Manage translation teams and linguistic assets to ensure compliance with RWS production workflows and processes- Ensure that quality and turnaround standards are met- Book and assign projects to translation teams, negotiate deadline as per production schedules, and coordinate production between translation teams, in-country client reviewers and typesetters- Keep project admin updated at all times and maintain accurate records of all costs and budgets- Keep Salesperson updated at all times of significant events- Exercise sound judgment in keeping supervisor informed of potential difficulties- Inform supervisor of all issues affecting quality, turnaround, costs and budgets- Check completeness of translation prior to client delivery or typesetting and compliance with instructions- Work with Salesperson and supervisor on strategies to grow the account**QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES**- Bachelors and/or Masters’ degree in Translation/Localization.- Minimum of 2 years previous project management experience in translation services- Previous experience in managing financial translations will be a plus- Fluency in English and at least another language- Mastering a third language is a plus- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat) and basic knowledge of technical formats (HTML, XML)- Familiarity with desktop publishing software (InDesign, QuarkXPress, etc.) is a plus- Advanced experience in Studio and Multiterm- Relevant techniques of file management is a plus- Linguistic skills including creating glossaries, assessing quality and completeness of translations- Project management skills: create/follow a complex schedule and adapt when appropriate- Ability to prioritize workload while handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment- Ability to work to tight schedule and update project records in a timely manner- Excellent communication skills and the ability to accurately convey detailed instructions to translation teams- Good team player skills- Attention to detail- Excellent customer service, as this role requires regular communication with clients and translation teams- Ability to analyze client complaints and provide relevant corrective and preventive actions.**Life at RWS** - We work hard together to deliver for our customers; our expertise, professionalism, and determination to never let others down drive us to be passionate and serious about what we do, deliver customer value, yet always add a human touch.As a company focused on connecting people through language,
