You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across all the data lifecycle.
This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to:
* Data Governance & Management policies as code
* Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation
* Effective and efficient Metadata Management & Data Catalogue
* Data Policies and Procedures automation
* Data Security processes and controls automation
Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for:
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across different layers of the data stack and phases of the data lifecycle.
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse across the organization.
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls, validation, and metrics.
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Observability alerts and workflows.
* Collaborating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture and infrastructure for governed and quality data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies.
* Building and deploying Data Governance tools for Data Analysts and Data Scientists to support product development and innovation.
Skills
Education:
* Degree in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
* Master's or higher degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data.
Experience:
* Advanced Python skills, including libraries and packages, with experience developing enterprise applications and ML models.
* Advanced SQL skills, including query writing and working with relational databases.
* Experience in Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets management, SSO, MFA).
* Experience in root cause analysis of data and processes for business insights and improvements.
* Experience in data systems automation and administration.
* Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data.
Technical Skills:
* Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms like Snowflake or similar.
* Programming in SQL, Python, and RestAPI.
* Proficiency with data ingestion/ETL tools like Airflow, Snowpipe, or similar.
* Experience with data transformation tools like dbt or similar.
* Familiarity with Data Governance platforms such as Collate, Open Metadata, Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica.
* Knowledge of cloud data visualization tools like Tableau or similar.
* Experience with Git repositories such as Bitbucket, Gitlab, or Github.
* Proficiency with documentation tools like Atlassian Confluence.
Soft Skills:
* Project management skills and familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban methodologies.

Day-to-day activities:
* Governance and management of the HBX Data Platform Stack, including security, user roles, permissions, and best practices.
* Design and implementation of advanced automated data governance policies and controls.
* Development of detective controls and alerts across tools and processes.
* Ensuring system connectivity via API for data governance and consistency.
* Implementation of data security policies to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and internal confidentiality standards.
* Supporting full data lifecycle management, including upgrades, management, decommissioning, and archiving, in line with data retention policies.
