As a Senior Web Engineer, you will build advanced web solutions with React and TypeScript that power production apps and reusable SDKs within Santander's platform ecosystem. You will read and integrate platform building blocks to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability while delivering on product-focused goals. This role sits in the CDAIO AI TECH team, contributing to a major technology-driven transformation across the bank. You will work with cross-functional teams to ship impactful tooling and components, including AI-enabled web experiences. The opportunity blends cutting-edge frontend engineering with platform-driven development in a globally impactful environment.

• Build production web apps and publish reusable SDKs (npm) using React and TypeScript
• Apply solid software architecture and CI/CD practices for quality, maintainability, and scalability
• Work with product SDKs and platform building blocks on top of Santander's web platform
• Read, integrate, and reason about platform components to enable internal and external libraries
• Ensure accessibility requirements are met and maintain high UI/UX quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Contribute to code quality through testing, reviews, and documentation
Responsabilidades
• 4+ years of frontend web development experience (React)
• Experience delivering libraries or SDKs as a product
• Proven accessibility-focused development experience
• Not applicable: experience limited to React Native, Ionic, Cordova
• Frontend focus with clear identification of frontend work in roles
• Collaborative, team-based project experience
• Native Spanish and English B2+ (B2–C1 strongly preferred) with English used for code, docs, commits
• TypeScript mastery (strict mode, generics, discriminated unions, type-safe APIs)
• Strong modern JavaScript (ES2022+, ES modules, async/await)
• API surface design and module boundaries (exports, package.json exports)
• Asynchronous/reactive patterns (Promises, async/await, AbortController, RxJS optional)
• Git, GitHub Actions (or similar CI/CD), Agile methodologies
• PR workflows, QA, and continuous quality practices
• React 18/19 expert, complex components and production screens
• Performance optimization, component design, and reusable hooks
• CSS Modules, design tokens, Tailwind/CSS-in-JS awareness
• Storybook and visual testing (Chromatic/Playwright) for UI quality
• WCAG 2.1 AA, semantic HTML, ARIA; accessibility testing with screen readers
• Vitest/Jest, React Testing Library, MSW for mocks; Playwright/Cypress for E2E
• Static analysis: ESLint, Prettier, TypeScript checks; SonarQube
• Experience with internal platform (GS Platform / Gluon), Artifactory publishing
• Familiarity with design systems (tokens, Storybook, Figma Code Connect)
