ForFor our IRONMAN Group Europe, Middle East and Africa business and based in Portugal (remote) orBarcelona, Spain, we are actively looking for a highly motivated, English, and Portuguese speaking:**Call for tender “Marketing Contractor” (M/F/d)****Position Summary**We are recruiting a Marketing Contractor to fulfil the event marketing function and providemarketing support in and around The IRONMAN Group’s Portuguese portfolio of events. TheMarketing Contractor will be the primary point of contact both internally and externally forPortugal based IRONMAN events working in close collaboration with the central EMEAMarketing Team and local event Operations Team to deliver on targets.**Key Services**:- Create comprehensive, strategic marketing plans which successfully meet volume andprofitability targets and manage their implementation in partnership with the widermarketing department and in collaboration with event operations staff and regionalstakeholders.- Craft marketing approach for specific events, which adapt Series/ Brand product offeringsor messages so that they resonate with customers in each specific locale.- Manage a country-specific marketing budget.- Plan and facilitate media buying and creative development for print, radio, out of homeand other traditional media in addition to digital advertising and new media placements,either through media agencies or direct negotiation.- Create and foster media partnerships and value opportunities.- Forge partnerships with local stakeholders including federations, sponsors, and industrypeers.- Participate in host city stakeholder management and facilitate associated marketingobligations.- Develop content, campaigns and maintain social media pages for portfolio andcollaborate with Athlete Services team to resolve customer issues.- Participate in professional athlete relationship management as it applies to eventattendance and endorsement/s.- Develop and execute media and PR plan to achieve positive brand and event coverage forcountry.- Facilitate event weekend media, PR, and social media schedules to output high qualitycontent and endorsements.- Seek opportunities for brand marketing, lead generation and athlete development incollaboration with the broader marketing team.**Skills and competencies**- Bachelor’s Degree.- Minimum 3 years marketing experience.- Excellent strategic and analytical thinking capability.- Strong attention to detail.- Native level Portuguese communication skills, both verbal and written.- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.- Proficiency in Spanish will be advantageous.- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.- Superior time management and prioritization skills.- Ability to work some weekends and non-traditional hours.- Ability to work on a part-time basis.- Ability to travel 25%+.A contract will be concluded until the end of the year.
