At ING we are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our Platform Automation area within Cloud and Tech Foundations Tribe to provide the organization with an automated foundational layer for present and future Tech Platform
What you'll be doing as an Oracle Database Administrator:
Ensure automation/removal of manual intervention in all processes related to the IT Assets.
Secure the operational performance of the IT Assets which are delivered and maintained.
Ensure monitoring of infrastructure and development of predictive alert systems to prevent incidents.
Responsibility for developing, managing, harmonising and phasing out Oracle products and services.
you support and develop your colleagues through effective knowledge sharing and resource usage and promote the one agile way of working (OAWoW) culture.
We work in an Agile & DevOps environment, where Scrum & Kanban are part of our One Agile Way of Working. You would be part of a Scrum Team, working on two-weeks sprints and using Azure as a key-tool for our Software Development Life Cycle and keeping our IT Risk under control.
These are some of the qualities that we value the most for this role. Good understanding of the Oracle/SQLServer database, related utilities and tools
Installation, configuration and upgrading of database software and related products.
Perform database tuning and performance.
Maintenance and optimization of databases and queries.
Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
Data Guard (Active) – switchover and failover process.
Ability to perform both database and operating system (Linux/Windows) performance tuning.
Monitoring (Prometheus-Grafana)
Has experience in planning and managing the Life Cycle of applications in production.
Has knowledge of software development lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps and Ansible.
