WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
SCF HQ is looking for a Corporate and Finance Legal Responsible, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

Santander Consumer Finance focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centers or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Legal Responsible, you will support all areas of Santander Consumer Group, working collaboratively as a team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing comprehensive legal counseling on corporate development issues, coordinating with different areas of the Santander Consumer Finance Group, focusing on legal and regulatory aspects.
* Drafting and reviewing finance cooperation agreements with partners related to Auto and Durables Retail and Wholesale Finance, including loans, leasing, operational lease, subscription, buy-now-pay-later services, etc.
* Reviewing and negotiating third-party provider agreements, ensuring EBA Guidelines compliance and cybersecurity risk mitigation.
* Providing legal advice and support to local units in over 14 countries, collaborating with internal and external lawyers.
* Overseeing legal aspects of Santander Consumer Finance Group units.
* Structuring, negotiating, and reviewing documents like NDAs, MoUs, LoIs, M&A agreements, etc., especially for strategic projects.
* Reviewing and negotiating IT service agreements and providing legal advice on digital services, products, and data protection.
* Reviewing and negotiating trademark license agreements and intellectual property issues.
* Coordinating reporting to Santander Group and collaborating across departments.
* Supporting the professional development of junior legal team members.
EXPERIENCE
At least 8 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in top-tier law firms or as an in-house lawyer in regulated companies.
EDUCATION
European qualified lawyer with a Law degree. Specialization in M&A and IT-related matters is highly valued.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
* Excellent command of English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and result-driven.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Additional languages are a plus.
