Assistant/Associate Professor of Data Analytics in Industrial ManagementTECNUN, the Engineering School of the University of Navarra, through the Industrial Management Department, seeks to fill a tenured professor position in the field of Data Analytics & Machine Learning applied to industrial management, to begin in January 2026.
As a member of the academic staff, the candidate will contribute to the University of Navarra's three core tasks: research, education, and management. Thus, the role will consist primarily of academic research (50%), lecturing (40%), and services and management (10%).
With the support of the existing academic staff, successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of data analytics, statistics, and machine learning. In addition to teaching responsibilities, candidates will actively contribute to the management and proper functioning of the department. They should demonstrate a strong research profile by publishing high-quality papers in reputable, indexed journals and show initiative in securing research funding through the development and submission of project proposals. Furthermore, candidates are expected to provide leadership and maintain academic rigor in the development of research projects.
Requirements:
Candidates will be expected to hold a relevant doctoral-level research degree and hold a distinguished academic record, including internationally excellent research, demonstrating appropriate markers of academic recognition.
The candidate will teach in Spanish and English to both national and international students for the Engineering programs
Duties include teaching annually 16 ECTS and assisting with program development.
Interest in the identity and mission of the University of Navarra. Knowledge and interest in the core values of the University of Navarra.
Candidates will be expected to join one of the three existing research groups of the department.
Candidates will be expected to show the capacity to publish excellent papers in highly indexed journals as well as the capacity to find research funding opportunities, write research project proposals, and lead and develop research projects.
Expertise and deep knowledge in data analytics, machine learning, and advanced statistics are valued
Expertise and deep knowledge in "Python and R" are also valued.
