Business Analyst (BA) – IAM/CIAM Key Responsibilities 1. Requirements Elicitation & Management
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with cross-functional stakeholders (business unit leaders, HR, SecOps, IT infrastructure, ERP teams, compliance, audit, and customer experience teams) to elicit end-to-end IAM/CIAM requirements, focusing on access governance, JML workflows, role-based access, and access review processes
- Document and formalize business requirements, functional requirements, non-functional requirements (auditability, scalability, usability), and process flows for workforce onboarding/offboarding/role changes, customer identity management, and cross-system access provisioning/deprovisioning
- Prioritize requirements based on business risk, compliance needs, and project objectives; manage the requirements backlog, handle scope changes, and ensure full traceability from business need to solution delivery
- Perform gap analysis between existing IAM tools (Clear Skye, Keycloak) and desired governance capabilities; identify limitations in integration, usability, and governance depth, and document remediation requirements
2. Process Design & Technical Translation
- Design standardized, auditable JML processes, role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks, and access review workflows aligned with least-privilege principles; create detailed process maps, swimlane diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all identity access activities
- Translate business and governance requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for the implementation team (Entra ID configuration, tool integration, workflow automation); collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are feasible and aligned with technical capabilities
- Support evaluation of potential AI-enabled identity solutions; document requirements for enhanced automation and access decision-making, and support vendor solution assessment against business governance needs
- Define user acceptance testing (UAT) criteria, test cases, and test scripts for IAM/CIAM capabilities; coordinate UAT with end users and business stakeholders, validate that the solution meets all access governance and usability requirements, and resolve UAT defects/ gaps

- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical project teams; clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and communicate technical constraints to business teams
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation: requirements documents, process maps, functional specs, test plans, and user guides; ensure all documentation is audit-ready and aligned with internal governance standards
- Support change management and training material development; translate complex IAM/CIAM processes into simple guidance for end users and administrators
- Work closely with the Project Manager to track requirement delivery, identify bottlenecks, and adjust requirements as needed to stay aligned with project timeline and scope

- Professional Experience : Experience as a Business Analyst in IT/IS projects, with direct hands‑on experience in IAM or identity governance projects (workforce IAM required; exposure to CIAM a strong plus)
- IAM Domain Expertise : Deep understanding of IAM/CIAM core concepts – JML workflows, SSO, identity federation, role-based access control (RBAC), access reviews, least‑privilege access, and identity deprovisioning; familiarity with Entra ID, Clear Skye, Keycloak, or similar IAM tools
- Requirements & Process Skills : Proven ability to elicit, document, and validate complex business and technical requirements; expertise in process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements traceability
- Cross-System Awareness : Understanding of enterprise system landscapes (infrastructure, ERP, Non-ERP, SecOps) and how identity access integrates across these systems
- Compliance Focus : Knowledge of audit requirements for access governance, accountability, and access tracking; ability to translate compliance needs into actionable requirements
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
