You will start as an Editorial Trainee, working closely with our Managing Editors to learn the process of handling papers from submission to publication. We value a passion for disseminating scientific knowledge and a motivation to contribute to open access publishing. This full-time, office-based role is located in Barcelona. Depending on your scientific background, you will be assigned to a relevant field. We are particularly interested in candidates with education in:
VeterinaryBiologyAnimal Science and GeneticsAstronomyPhysicsApplicants with education or professional experience aligned with these areas are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:
Support the editorial process for academic research journals in your domain.Contact experts and organize peer-review for submitted manuscripts, ensuring timely completion.Handle email communications related to the publication process.Format manuscripts according to in-house standards, adhering to deadlines.Collaborate with the editorial and production teams, including the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, authors, and reviewers.Monitor research progress in your disciplinary field and assist in journal development goals.Requirements:
Master’s or PhD degree in relevant subjects (PhD preferred).Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.Strong organizational and time management skills.Professional experience in scholarly publishing is advantageous but not mandatory.Reside in Spain and have legal authorization to work.What We Offer:
