DescriptionThe goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world class last mile delivery operation. Amazon aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and in the most cost effective way possible.
Central Operations (CO) is a strategic initiative within Amazon Logistics (AMZL) to develop scalable solutions for the increasingly complex last mile delivery network. It focuses on forecasting, route planning, demand scheduling, and last mile delivery. We seek an Operations Manager with a proven track record of operational excellence to lead scalability efforts, develop strong processes and culture, and operate effectively in high ambiguity environments. This role offers opportunities for strategic thinking, innovation, and collaboration across teams to scale Central Operations.
Key job responsibilities
Lead a team of Managers and Logistics Associates to optimize day-to-day operations and projects for EU CO, focusing on KPIs such as forecast accuracy and process adherence/improvement.
Drive performance metrics, program scoping, rollout, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
Develop best practices and standard work for the network.
Communicate proactively with various departments, maintain high service levels, and resolve issues impacting business continuity.
Conduct strategic research into process improvements and make real-time decisions.
Maintain and report accurate statistics, management reports, and analysis.

Basic Qualifications
Degree qualification or equivalent
Experience with planning, standard work practices, and performance metrics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work various hours including weekends and public holidays
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience leading teams
Effective communication skills in English
Organizational and time management skills
Teamwork mentality and ability to build trustful relationships
Preferred QualificationsNot required but advantageous:
Advanced or master’s degree
Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations
Data analysis and report creation for leadership
Knowledge of SQL, MS Office, Tableau, or Python
