As a Senior Director for Infrastructure & Energy Credit, you will play a pivotal role in the origination, execution, and management of global infrastructure and energy private credit high‑yield investments. You will independently originate & analyse investment opportunities, structure & negotiate transactions, conduct comprehensive financial, ESG, and legal reviews, and manage investments, including preparing proposals for the investment committee, monitoring portfolio performance, investor reporting, and maintaining relationships with sponsors, advisors, counterparties and institutional clients.
Responsibilities
- Originate and preliminarily evaluate investment opportunities in the infrastructure and energy high‑yield private credit markets.
- Undertake preliminary structuring and perform detailed credit, business model, and risk analyses of transactions; draft and prepare screening materials, investment committee memoranda, and related documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial modelling, legal review, ESG assessments, and technical, regulatory, and market risk analysis.
- Perform detailed cash‑flow modelling and cash‑extraction analysis to evaluate debt‑service capacity and downside scenarios.
- Prepare materials for the investment committee.
- Drive the execution of approved transactions, leading negotiations of term sheets, financing agreements, and ancillary legal documentation, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor Investment Committee decisions across the daily activities of the fund, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Actively monitor portfolio assets, including performance analysis, covenant compliance, ESG reporting, and financial performance tracking.
- Participate in fund and asset performance reporting to investors, including regular updates, investor communications, and NAV calculation and review processes.
- Support fundraising activity for the fund and collaborate with senior management on developing new investment strategies and thematic priorities.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues, fostering a high‑performance and mission‑driven investment culture.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience : 10‑15 years investing in junior infrastructure & energy credit within an alternative finance provider or asset manager; proven track record in origination, analysis, structuring, and execution of infrastructure junior credit investments; experience in portfolio monitoring, fund reporting, and fundraising processes.
- Education : Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or related disciplines with a strong professional track record; certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or equivalent highly desirable.
- Languages : Proficiency in English (required); French or German a strong plus.
- Hard Skills : Strong knowledge of infrastructure & energy financing and investment; technical expertise in legal, credit, financial and risk analysis; proven ability to manage private credit investments across economic cycles.
- Soft Skills : Strong interpersonal capabilities; self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and committed to long‑term value creation; ability to mentor junior colleagues.
