As a PreSales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities within the Digital services sector and providing support to assigned German customers. Your daily tasks will typically include:
1. Writing and constructing offers for final customers.
2. Providing technical and commercial support to the sales team throughout the sales lifecycle.
3. Managing Digital Services opportunities throughout their lifecycle.
4. Designing technical solutions and building comprehensive business cases.
5. Developing partner relationships to enhance the standard offering and value proposition.
6. Understanding and/or detecting customer needs and requirements, providing expert advice on IT solution design.
7. Managing client demands and expectations from a technical perspective.
8. Supporting commercial processes by working with priority, multinational, and local sales teams, focusing on client technical needs and participating in solution definition.
9. Sharing technical knowledge from a sales perspective and training the support team accordingly.
10. Engaging proactively with global departments (Presales, Procurement, Operations, Finances) to meet client demands.
11. Collaborating with marketing and product teams to prepare product training for local sales, presales, and engineering teams.
12. Keeping up to date with digital technologies and industry trends.
13. Delivering against defined sales targets, milestones, KPIs, and achieving financial metrics such as revenue and profitability.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Typically requires at least a BS/CS degree; MBA or MSc and relevant industry certifications are desirable (e.g., ISACA CISA, CISSP, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE4, ICSI CNSS, and other certifications from IBM, Juniper, Sophos, Microsoft, Palo Alto, etc.).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Sales Consultant in the digital industry, including Presales and Operations. Experience with large accounts (IBEX35, CAC40, DAX) is preferred.
* Experience testing new products, analyzing market fit, and managing global solutions for multinational companies in a professional B2B and B2B2C environment.
* Deep knowledge of T-Tech's global organization and business processes, including presales, operations, product, finance, procurement, order management, compliance, etc.
* Strong industry knowledge, proven track record in developing digital business opportunities, and understanding of the digital ecosystem.
* Professional demeanor with strong technical and communication skills, capable of effective customer interaction, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Ability to balance business and customer risks, demonstrating innovation and problem-solving skills.
* Critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent written communication skills, especially in bid writing and negotiation.
Languages:
* Fluent English is mandatory; German and Spanish are desirable.
