Overview
A vacancy for a Supply Chain and Quality Manager has arisen within Airbus AOSL in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the PIAT department.
Responsibilities
* For serial and development programs, ensure compliance of suppliers and products, including special processes.
* Lead or support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transfers of Work (ToW) with a focus on end-to-end quality and supply chain contribution.
* Ensure on-time and on-quality deliveries by monitoring and reporting supplier performance;
drive improvements in supplier quality performance, capacity and capability.
* Act as Quality Responsible or Involved Quality Person at the product level, and manage approvals, qualifications and their maintenance.
* Coordinate supplier approvals, ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is relevant and updated;
verify that the QualityAssurance Plan meets Airbus requirements.
* Perform or support product and special process qualification;
validate First Article Inspection (FAI) and ensure Last Article Inspection (LAI) for Buy-to-Buy transfers.
* Control and surveil compliance to Airbus requirements (POA, etc.);
negotiate and monitor Quality-Gates performance;
perform or support product/process audits.
* Contribute to, manage and oversee Industrial Process Control Assessment (CCP&Aeroexcellence) and related action plans.
* Accountable for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transfer of Work (ToW):
coordinate all industrial topics and serve as end-to-end Quality Responsible (FAI, qualification, First Part Qualification, etc.).
* Monitor supplier performance using early warning systems, KPIs, quality gates, action plans and escalation processes;
report status to internal customers at the product level.
* Implement corrective actions to reduce risks, deploy containment/recovery plans, and drive non-quality eradication actions (CNQ, 9S management).
* Provide dashboards and cockpit visibility of supplier status and quality metrics;
highlight topics using standardized reporting formats.
Required skills
* University degree in Engineering.
* Technical knowledge about aerostructure parts, with background in Quality and/or Supply Chain preferred.
* Engineering or manufacturing engineering background is valuable;
knowledge of composite technology is a plus.
* Leadership and communication skills;
project management experience is valuable.
* Proficiency with common IT tools;
quick learner for job-specific tools;
curious about digitalization and new technologies.
* English:
negotiation level;
Spanish:
fluent;
international experience is valuable.
* Decision making, high motivation, willingness to learn, and availability to travel.
