The role of the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is to optimize maintenance, make it more predictable and manageable. In this independent position you stand for the challenge to continue to improve and guarantee the maintenance of production installations and process equipment together with your colleagues. The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer has a central and valuable position within the departments of engineering, supply chain and production and outside contacts with suppliers and contractors.
Key responsibilities
1. Collect and organize of relevant and reliable production and maintenance data. Upload this data in ERP (SAP PM) system
2. Analysing: data, identifying deviations, problems and improvement possibilities.
3. Analysing problems, finding (core) causes, both in technology, in human behaviour, and in the organization.
4. Providing well-considered recommendations and proposing / taking effective measures.
5. Preventing risks through preventive measures and anticipating unforeseen measures
6. Anticipating to create added value and eliminating waste
7. Facilitating group meetings in solving issues and involving the right professionals at the right time.
8. Develop, present and implement improvement proposals and advise the Site Leadership Team.
9. Translating the maintenance concept into maintenance tasks and work assignments.
10. Monitoring of performance indicators, benchmarking, procedures and work instructions.
11. Report and communicate the implementation and quality assurance of the maintenance plan
12. Knowledge transfer by giving training.
Qualifications and skills
13. Degree in Engineering or relevant Science discipline
14. 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
15. Excellent problem solving skills
16. Food industry knowledge ideally
17. Proven track record building solid working relationships
18. Strong computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
19. Strong knowledge of Health, safety and environmental regulation
20. Strong knowledge in Food safety compliance
21. Consistent Values Led approach
22. Excellent organisational skills
23. Self-starter, hands-on
24. Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the value of technical journaling and expanded use of this information.
25. Strong ability to influence at all levels
