Design EngineerWhat you will do
The Design Engineer will be engaged in new product development, working as part of the design team. Responsibilities include managing and defining design requirements for new developments in collaboration with internal teams and overseas engineering teams when necessary. The role also involves preparing development design briefs, identifying risks and impacts, and defining design solutions to meet product requirements.
Location: Vacarisses Plant, Barcelona
How you will do it
* Lead design engineering activities related to new product development.
* Analyze and propose design solutions for new products.
* Ensure schedule and action plan alignment with project development requirements.
* Collaborate with R&D teams to incorporate new information about plans and impacts related to design.
* Serve as the contact point for activities and improvement suggestions from other departments, evaluating and applying proposals as necessary.
* Support the quality of new materials, including 3D and 2D drawings, BOM information, and operations, and communicate effectively with other departments.
* Participate actively in researching new components from suppliers or alternative parts solutions and their application in design.
What we are looking for
* Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Exceptional creativity and innovation.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Resolution skills and multitasking ability.
* Fluent in English.
* Knowledge of SAP.
