Global Sourcing Lead – Ecolab
Reporting to the Global Category Manager, the Global Sourcing Lead is responsible for delivering business results and executing global strategies across the Chemical Raw material sub‑categories. The role ensures continuity of supply and minimises total cost of ownership, supporting Ecolab’s overall business objectives.
How You’ll Make An Impact
* Chemical raw material spend portfolio $50‑$100 M globally.
* Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, including RFP/E‑auctions and negotiations.
* Achieve cost savings, working capital improvement and supply security.
* Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal pricing and quality.
* Support global strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement in category performance.
* Ensure security of supply by driving sole‑source breaks and contingency plans.
* Collaborate with regional teams to ensure consistent messaging and execution of projects.
* Engage with R&D and procurement partners to drive portfolio optimisation and consolidation.
* Operate effectively across multiple time zones and in a multicultural environment.
* Link market trends with supplier portfolios to create competitive advantages.
* Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and guidelines relevant to the chemical category.
* Lead by example as a safety and ethics champion.
* Travel 20 % and flexible hours.
Qualifications
* Degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
* 5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in raw material or direct purchasing with strong commercial background.
* International experience and proven ability to negotiate and win agreements.
* Strong teamwork, project management and executive communication skills.
* Demonstrated professionalism, strong presence and ability to drive results.
* Self‑motivation, tenacity and continuous learning orientation.
