The Technical Buyer will be responsible for driving and developing all activities related to the procurement of components for our battery and electrification technologies, with a focus on electrical/electronic components (PCBA, HV Electrical distribution).

In our Applied Engineering division, we are an integral part of the design & development process for our high-performance customers including Formula 1, Motorsport and Automotive. From the initial stages of blank sheet designs to the final production, we assume ownership with a relentless commitment to bringing our clients' visions to life. We contribute across all areas of engineering and in multiple different specialisms including composite & materials, bodywork, aero & structural, powertrain, and tooling.
In our Technology division, we specialize in R&D of state of the art of battery systems. Taking projects from initial concepts to production: we are designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing the next generation of high-performance batteries to innovative projects for multiple industries. We aim to generate a real impact on the future of electric mobility.
Responsibilities
* Manage all purchases, both direct and indirect: electronic components, props, industrial products, work materials, supplies and other products or services.
* Logistics and transport: negotiate with logistics providers for the distribution of products.
* Support in negotiating contracts, prices and terms with suppliers.
* Ensure that products and materials purchased comply with technical and quality specifications.
* Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure that purchased products meet technical requirements.
* Work on cost saving initiatives and search for alternative suppliers.
* Identify and evaluate new strategic suppliers for key raw materials.
* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
* Continuous assessment of suppliers' capabilities, risks and performance to ensure continuity of supply.
* Standardisation of processes and documents.
* Create and manage the RFI/RFP/RFQ process.

* Advanced university degree in Engineering or Finance.
* 5 years of experience in procurement of industrial components and materials (automotive, electronics, plastic parts and structural metals, PCBA, high voltage electrical distribution).
* Extensive user level experience in ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
* Extensive experience in negotiation with suppliers.
* In-depth knowledge of local national and European markets.
* Experience in implementing improvements and standardisation of Supply Chain processes.
* Previous experience in battery technology with a wide range of trading groups and both low and high value commodities (direct and indirect).
