We are seeking a Battery & Flexibility Manager to join our expanding team in Madrid within our Power and Low Carbon Solutions advisory practice. We work with policymakers, regulators, investors, developers, lenders, and energy companies to navigate the energy transition successfully.

What you will be doing
You will be working at the forefront of the energy sector as part of a leading advisory firm, building deep industry knowledge. As a Consultant in the Batteries and Flexibility markets in Iberia, you will collaborate with senior specialists on client projects, coordinate junior team members, and carry out tasks such as:
* Conducting qualitative market research, energy insights, and stakeholder management to support business cases for flexible assets in Iberia, including revenue streams, optimization, and benchmarks.
* Performing detailed quantitative analyses on revenue prospects across energy markets related to flexible assets, supporting investment and financing decisions.
* Providing strategic advice to asset owners and traders on commercial structures, market routes, and business model implications.
* Optimizing power generation portfolios, asset dispatch, and developing hedging strategies.
* Advising developers, investors, and lenders on the value of flexible energy resources.
* Collaborating with our global Power Market Advisory teams across Europe from Madrid.
* Supporting business development by building our brand, engaging clients in Iberia, and preparing proposals.
Your skills and experience
Applicants should have experience in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and/or Portugal), with a strong understanding of wholesale electricity markets and ancillary services. Proven experience (>5 years) analyzing flexible assets such as batteries, pumped storage, or thermal plants—ideally gained with an IPP, utility, trader, or consultancy—is required. Preferred skills include:
* Experience analyzing flexible power assets and energy storage in Europe, especially in Spanish and Portuguese markets.
* Knowledge of commercial structures and routes to market for flexible assets.
* Strong analytical skills related to market fundamentals and modeling.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills across geographies.
* Project management capabilities, including end-to-end delivery and junior team development.
* Business acumen to identify new opportunities from client needs.
* Flexibility to adapt priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
