The Institute of Neuroscience (IN) in Alicante (CSIC-UMH), Spain, is seeking to fill a Research Project Manager position in the Lab of Development, Plasticity, and Reprogramming of Sensory Circuits.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to manage the SPONTSENSE ERC Advanced Grant project and other ongoing research initiatives in the lab. Our work focuses on uncovering how spontaneous activity contributes to the assembly and rewiring of functional sensory circuits. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in neuroscience and sensory processing research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and management of the lab's research projects, ensuring alignment with scientific objectives and project timelines.
• Coordinate lab members to foster scientific collaboration and effective internal communication.
• Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders, auditors, and funding agencies.
• Organize and lead regular project meetings, workshops, and presentations to disseminate research findings and enhance collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements in all research-related activities.
• Support the preparation of competitive grant proposals and scientific submissions, including applications for postdoctoral fellowships (e.g., Marie Curie, EMBO).
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management within a research or academic environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a competitive, interdisciplinary research setting.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• English language qualification: B2 First or higher.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and data analysis techniques is considered an asset.
