API is seeking a seasoned professional to join our company as an Account Manager. The position is remote-based in Madrid, Spain. The Account Manager will serve as the main point of contact for clients, actively managing existing client relationships with our partners, always prioritizing the best interests of our clients and API.
Essential Functions
* Sourcing
* Oversee the direction of existing API accounts to maximize relationships and expand market share, working closely with the Research & Sourcing team to ensure seamless sourcing of destinations.
* Assist in sourcing destinations through initiating RFP processes and maintaining supplier relationships.
* Ensure RFP results are accurately documented and meet client needs, demonstrating savings and achieving API revenue goals.
* Plan strategically to maximize revenue and savings, including sourcing timelines for contracts and renewals.
* Site Inspections
* Conduct hotel site inspections domestically and internationally, ensuring properties meet client criteria.
* Contracting
* Negotiate hotel contracts, renewals, and addendums, aiming for mutually beneficial terms.
* Monitor market conditions to maintain optimal rates and contract terms.
* Manage risks and negotiate terms to mitigate potential issues.
* Maintain strong hotel relationships.
* Day-to-Day Account Management
* Collaborate with sales team to meet client needs and share leads.
* CrewCare
* Manage crew member feedback via online portals, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
* Update hotel information in the system, adding or removing hotels as needed.
* Hotel Express
* Ensure negotiated rates are correctly loaded and maintained for clients.
* ACES
* Verify hotel contract data in ACES, review schedules, and assist with follow-ups.
* Ensure client backup lists are accurate and uploaded.
* CRM
* Maintain accurate revenue opportunities, contracts, and flight information in CRM.
* Understand client business to meet deliverables and create value.
* Coordinate with Business Development for client onboarding.
* Lead and make decisions balancing client and API needs.
* Manage client communications and internal team updates.
* Become proficient in API technology platforms to support clients.

Qualifications
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in the travel industry, working closely with hotels.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
