Are you interested in shaping the future of Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) for operations? Do you want to work in a large-scale organization with a startup feeling? Are you passionate about creating processes, operating models, and driving network improvements? Do you have a strong passion for continuous improvement and implementing methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean?

The EU Amazon Transportation Services ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operational Excellence Process Expert to help develop a world-class middle mile process that delivers goods on time at the best cost.

This position will support Amazon transportation and drive operational excellence and project management across the EU Fulfillment Center, Sort Center, Air Node, and Delivery Station network. A successful candidate will have experience managing large and complex projects and a bias for action needed in a startup environment.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Drive network-level excellence by designing and implementing systems, metrics, and programs that maximize compliance, productivity, and continuous improvement.
2. Build strong partnerships with operations field leaders to identify impacts of new business initiatives and successfully integrate and deploy them onsite.
3. Engage with other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers.
4. Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support business growth.
5. Support the improvement of vision content and delivery of standard work and ACES Training programs.
6. Create benchmark standards and audit processes.
7. Analyze operational barriers and focus on understanding root causes to solve them.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

1. A passion for continuous improvement and mechanisms to reduce defects.
2. Willingness to roll up sleeves and do whatever is necessary; owner mentality.
3. Strong change management and implementation experience, including engaging effectively with high levels of management.
4. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
5. Ability to drive projects from initially ambiguous states.
6. Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
7. Ability to write detailed project and business plans.
8. High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously.
9. This role will require traveling within Europe.
10. Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt capable of mentoring and developing Yellow to Green and Green to Black Belts.
11. Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
12. Technical (Math, Engineering, Science, or related field) Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
13. Project Management experience and proven ability to deliver in a deadline-driven environment.
14. Ability to interpret and apply statistical insights to the operations environment.
15. MBA or Master's in Industrial Engineering.
16. Proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across all organizational levels.
17. Experience in Content Management, Editing, or Technical Writing.
18. Ability to handle changing priorities and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
19. Decisiveness, confidence, and experience in influencing others.
20. A strong sense of urgency and personal commitment.
21. Project Management Professional certification.
22. Facilitation experience at all levels, comfortable addressing large audiences.
