As a Technical Artist Support, you will help assigned departments to solve basic technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Fix issues in the assigned scenes.
- Assist artists in solving simple bugs.
- Review pending tickets.
- Help artists when issues arise in day‑to‑day processes such as creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
- Test libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
- Update basic documentation and review technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department.
- Manage asset assemblies and updates.
- Attend technical meetings as requested to stay trained and updated on new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
- Keep up on current artistic methodologies and technology trends that best suit the production and the company.
- Be willing to learn new workflows and proactively contribute to making them more efficient.
- Assist other team members when necessary.
- Follow the department supervisor and leads’ instructions.
- Multi‑task and collaborate with TDs or TAs.
Requirements
- 5 years in VFX or animation industries.
- 1+ years in the animation industry is desirable.
- Strong artistic or technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
- Knowledge of some 3D animation area (modeling, surfacing, animation, lighting).
- Experience with any 3D animation software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).
- Ability to write simple scripts is a big plus.
- Medium/higher English level desirable.
- Spanish desirable.
