Junior Interaction Designer The Interaction Designer is a key member of the Verisure Design Group, reporting to the UI Design Manager. The role will be based at our R&D; centre in Madrid, Spain, possibly with some European travel required. This position is fundamental in delivering world-class interaction design solutions across the Verisure digital and physical product portfolio. You will be instrumental in evolving our customer touch-points, as technology, behaviours, and design patterns evolve and change. As a Junior Interaction Designer, you will contribute to the creation, development, refinement, and documentation of innovative and compelling interaction design solutions that are in line with the design objectives and goals of Verisure. The position will work on both tactical projects and programs as well as more strategic and explorative workstreams. The Junior User Interaction Designer will be: A Problem Seeker : a person with an analytical brain, who uses a range of tools and methods to find the root cause of customer problem(s) together with his/her teammates. A Problem Solver : a person who explores and solves identified customer problems and iteratively validates design concepts. Main Responsibilities Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: supporting the business in all aspects of Interaction Design with key tasks such as contributing to the shaping of new product & service experiences from early concept explorations to design solutions across our digital portfolio, including Web, App, and Proprietary interfaces. Taking part in defining the overall experience of new products and solutions, including user flows, wireframes, and other documents that relate to the user experience based upon our guidelines and patterns, design system, and design principles. Taking a hands-on role in both small and large-scale user experience projects upon request. Envisioning and communicating concepts and ideas using appropriate design tools that illustrate touch points across the customer experience journey. Bringing designs to life together with colleagues in the Integral Design Team, by working closely with product managers and engineers, and balancing technical and business requirements of the product & service being designed. Contributing to and refining existing services to improve the overall user experience. Working with other team members to uncover insights and identify opportunities by, e.G., taking part in/acting as an observer in usability test sessions, research, and/or prototyping activities. Having an understanding of modern project management methodologies (such as agile, leanUX). Being aware of the latest digital trends and industry best practices and using this knowledge to evolve products and features when and where it is appropriate. Supporting the greater Global Design Team and UI Design Manager throughout a range of internal initiatives. Required Qualifications 0-2 years of experience working within the domain of interaction design. A University degree (preferably BA or BS degree) in an appropriate design discipline such as Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or other related design field. Having a keen eye and passion for design details within UX/concept design, user-centric design, and innovation - with a focus on interaction design. Actively and consciously applying modern interface principles to our design solutions. Being comfortable working with user journeys, wireframe/UI specifications. Fundamental experience in UX-related software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, and with the ability to quickly bring ideas to life through a variety of means; from lo-fidelity concepts to functional digital prototypes. Being fluent in English, both written and spoken.
