About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join our ambitious Upper School team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 to 5 and play a key role in preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and rigorous Physics and Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3–5.
* Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, incorporating practical work, theoretical understanding, and application-based learning.
* Support interdisciplinary initiatives and help foster a strong culture of scientific enquiry across the school.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Faculty and across other departments to promote STEAM projects, academic excellence, and whole-school engagement with key scientific events, awareness days and enrichment initiatives.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management, academic challenge, and student wellbeing.
* Make effective use of school laboratories and specialist resources to deliver hands-on learning experiences.
* Contribute to the development of the faculty’s curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
* A relevant degree in Physics or a related Science subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
* Experience teaching Physics to IGCSE and A-Level (or equivalent international curricula).
* Strong pedagogical knowledge and a passion for subject-based enrichment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
* Experience in international or bilingual settings is an advantage but not essential.
