Position: Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides frontline support to BVI Electricity Corporation's customers, ensuring accurate account management, timely revenue collection, and high‑quality service delivery. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage transactions with accuracy and integrity. The CSR also supports administrative functions within the department and contributes to maintaining efficient internal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver courteous, professional, and timely service to all customers, ensuring each interaction reflects BVIEC's commitment to excellence.
2. Respond to customer inquiries regarding accounts, billing, payments, and service-related matters with clarity, accuracy, and empathy.
3. Set up new electricity customer accounts, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed.
4. Monitor payments for new service connections and follow up with customers to support timely processing.
5. Prepare adjustment forms for customer accounts, ensuring transparency and proper documentation.
6. Assist with the filing, organization, and secure storage of BVIEC records in accordance with corporate policy.
7. Prepare application and agreement forms for new electricity supply, guiding customers through the process where needed.
8. Maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with colleagues across the Corporation to support seamless service delivery.
9. Work seamlessly with other departments to offer customer service support.
10. Assist customers with setting up online accounts.
Qualifications and Competencies:
1. High School Diploma (minimum requirement)
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
3. Basic bookkeeping knowledge
4. Proficiency in computer applications
5. 0–1-year experience working in an office environment
Work Environment:
1. Office environment with some coordination of field-related activities for disconnection and reconnection processes.
2. May require extended hours during peak periods or operational demands.
3. Frequent interaction with customers, staff, and other internal departments.
Compensation
1. Entry-level placement
2. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
