The Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is seeking a web applications developer to join the Operations Department, specifically the User Support team, to develop and maintain web applications supporting the center's daily activities.
Key Duties
* Maintain, update, and implement applications to enhance the management of daily activities.
* Develop, maintain, and improve the center's public website and intranet (using Drupal CMS).
* Implement security best practices in web development, including input validation, session management, and protection against vulnerabilities.
* Document codebases and procedures to ensure maintainability and facilitate collaboration.
Requirements
Education
* BSc in Computer Science or similar for web application development.
* Or Higher Education (FPII) in web development, computer science, or related fields.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
* Experience analyzing requirements, designing, and deploying complex web applications focused on business solutions.
* Proficiency with SQL and database design for web applications.
* Knowledge and experience with PHP for web application development.
Additional Knowledge and Experience
* Experience working in a LAMP environment.
* Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
* Understanding of responsive development practices.
* Experience with version control systems like GIT.
* Experience with Drupal CMS is a plus.
* Good command of English, both written and spoken.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
