Job Responsibilities
* Optimize Alpiq Energía España’s portfolio in the day-ahead, intraday, and balancing markets (OMIE & REE). Manage imbalance risk and trading needs effectively.
* Monitor assets connected to our control centre.
* Analyze market fundamentals and other data impacting bidding strategies.
* Prepare market and competitor analyses.
* Contribute to the development of analysis and bidding tools.
Your Profile
* Degree in Energy, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
* At least 1 year of experience in an intraday trading desk is valued.
* Knowledge of the Spanish electricity market (OMIE and REE); knowledge of other gas/power markets is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills; proficiency in VBA/Excel and ideally Python.
* Knowledge of SQL and statistical tools; knowledge of the gas market is an asset.
* Fluency in English (C1) is mandatory.
* Permanent full-time contract in shifts 24x7.
