Chief Hardware Engineer (Electronical & Mechanical)
with at least 10 years of experience.
Availability to join a stable project in Madrid.
Degree: Grade
Work Model: On-site
Work Schedule: Complete
Requirements
Education in Industrial, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Highly valued: Master’s degree in aerospace/defense systems or specialized training in electronic/mechanical hardware.
≥10 years in electronic and mechanical hardware design and development in high‑criticality sectors.
≥3 years leading teams as Lead Engineer, Chief Engineer, Responsible Engineer, or similar.
Demonstrated experience in projects under DO‑160, DO‑254, MIL‑STD‑810/461, or ECSS.
Proficiency in CAE tools: Altium, Mentor, Cadence, ANSYS, SolidWorks, Matlab and Requirements management: DOORS, CAMEO, or similar.
Advanced technical leadership, system‑level vision and critical thinking.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Focus on quality, regulatory compliance, and documentation rigor.
Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
What will your responsibilities be?
Approve key technical decisions and act as Design Authority throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Ensure traceability between customer requirements, system requirements, hardware requirements, and verifications.
Lifecycle Management in Compliance with Aerospace/Defense Standards.
Ensure compliance with standards and frameworks such as: DO-160 / DO-254 (aeronautical environmental and electronic design), MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑HDBK‑454, ECSS‑Q‑ST‑30 / ECSS‑E‑ST‑10 (Space).
Engineering Team Leadership.
Electronic Design Oversight.
Testing, Certification, and Environmental Qualification.
Technical Management with Stakeholders.
Technical Excellence and Innovation.
