Team / Role Overview
Citi has always had a market leading position within the Spanish Rates market, but there remains room to do more business than we are currently and also to widen the breadth of products in which we are relevant to our important clients.
The successful candidate will be an important part of the Rates Sales structure, based in Madrid, working within GIS, they will report locally to the Head of Iberia Markets Sales.
What you’ll do
* Sales coverage of investors in Spain
* Building trusted relationships with the top 6 banks in flow rates
* Marketing the Rates platform capabilities of Citi to targeted clients, most notably Spanish banks.
* Revenue generation through flow activity, primarily in Rates products.
* Work collaboratively with Trading to improve our footprint with the most relevant clients in Spain.
* Assist the broader Iberia Sales team to increase revenues and standing with our clients.
* Expand the products we trade with clients in Rates and grow market share.
* Provide market leading advice and guidance to the largest investors in the Spanish Rates market.
What we’ll need from you
* Existing client knowledge in the Spanish Rates space, specifically deep relationships with top 6 Banks.
* Track record of production and success covering Spanish institutional clients.
* Broad understanding and knowledge of trading the various Rates products.
* Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to form new relationships.
* Self starter who is prepared to seek out new opportunities and progress them to conclusion.
* Analytical skills as well as highly numerate.
* Trustworthy and displaying the highest ethical and conduct standards.
* Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
