Job Description
AURA S.A. de Seguros is seeking an experienced Insurance Actuary to join its technical and actuarial team. This role plays a key part in the actuarial management of the company, contributing to the analysis, valuation, and development of Funeral and Health insurance products, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting and solvency regulations.
The selected professional will work closely with the Technical Management team and other departments to develop actuarial solutions that ensure the technical balance and long-term sustainability of the business. The position may be based in Málaga or Barcelona and offers a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
* Valuation of technical provisions under accounting standards and Solvency II
* Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of new insurance products
* Development of actuarial technical bases
* Define behavioural assumptions used in provision valuation and regularly assess their adequacy
* Perform product profit testing
* Support the accounting department in the implementation of IFRS regulations
* Prepare internal and external documentation related to the company’s governance system
* Collaborate with risk management and regulatory compliance processes
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in actuarial and insurance roles
(Candidates with slightly less experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong technical skills)
* University degree and master’s degree in Actuarial Science or Statistical Sciences
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Solid knowledge of risk management
* Up-to-date knowledge of insurance sector regulation and compliance
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
* Practical experience using R and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
* Ability to query and manage large databases
* Spanish: Native or Bilingual
