Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world-class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero.
This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, España, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What You Will Do
* Defines and coordinates EE architecture for electrified powertrain components (e-motor, power electronics, battery), ensuring alignment with OEM applications and system requirements.
* Leads cross-functional teams to design, validate, and troubleshoot EE systems, managing project reviews and technical meetings across domains like HMI, wiring, EMC, and diagnostics.
* Ensures system integration and compatibility, overseeing the convergence of electronic systems (powertrain, battery, ADAS, infotainment) and tracking CAN/LIN usage.
* Manages ISR creation and validation, ensuring traceability and consistency of CAN parameters across systems.
* Monitors milestone progress, analyzing architecture changes and initiating corrective action plans when deviations occur.
What We’re Looking For
* A proven track record in system engineering activities and software development within the automotive or EE domain.
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering or Mechanics with EE specialization is preferred.
* Excellent skills in diagnostics and troubleshooting of CAN/LIN networks and programming of controllers and battery management systems (C++, Python).
* Strong competencies in embedded systems architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet), with a collaborative approach.
* Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
* Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
