Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to its clients, and we are now seeking a Ground Segment L2 Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities include :
* Supporting AIV campaigns for the Galileo Ground Control Segment.
* Defining and maintaining test documentation.
* Supporting the preparation and execution of Non-Regression / System Validation Tests.
* Supporting OPS / L1 and L3 teams in problem management, system restoration, vulnerability management, and handling security incidents.
* Providing inputs to Service Asset and Configuration Management activities, including maintaining configurations via provided tools.
* Supporting milestone reviews related to L2 / L3 maintenance handover.
* Designing end-to-end integrated maintenance and troubleshooting environments.
* Contributing to the release strategy for GCS infrastructure evolutions.
* Providing on-call maintenance support for on-site recovery of the Core of Trust outside normal hours.
* Applying software patches and updates, especially cybersecurity-related, to ensure system security and compliance.
Qualifications :
* Engineering degree in a relevant technical field with at least 5 years of experience.
* Experience in ground system AIV campaigns and operations.
* Familiarity with IT systems, web applications, and server hardware.
* Knowledge of Galileo or other navigation ground segments is a plus.
* Ability to follow procedures strictly and find workarounds when procedures fail.
* Understanding of cybersecurity principles is desirable.
* Strong coordination skills across teams.
* Interest in continuous learning and new technologies.
* Willingness to travel for training and workshops.
* Proficiency in English; knowledge of Spanish is expected.
Legal and Security Requirements :
* Legally allowed to work in Spain without a visa; EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens only.
* Must provide a valid passport and degree certificate; degree validated with the university.
* Must provide a recent good conduct certificate from current residence country; employment history will be validated.
Location :
Madrid, Spain, at the DLR's second location.
